ELEVATING INSTAGRAM LIVE’S PRODUCTION VALUE WITH RUBBERMAID
Rubbermaid, the maker of innovative, solution-based food storage and organization products, released a new line of food storage containers and announced this brand news via Instagram Live — all during the COVID shelter-in-place order.
THE CHALLENGE
Rubbermaid worked with New York Times bestselling author, Katherine Schwarzenegger and food blogger and cookbook author, Jocelyn Delk Adams to amplify Rubbermaid’s news. Instagram Live was the medium of choice and Rubbermaid wanted seamless, high end production value. That’s when AKA’s longtime agency partner called on us to get the job done.
THE AKA SOLUTION
Even in the era of social distancing, AKA’s partners see us as the experts in production and live streaming. We conducted an end-to-end Instagram Live event, keeping all facets completely remote, while simultaneously providing a seamless experience for participants, agency partners and clients, and most importantly, viewers.
OUR APPROACH
Because location is never a barrier, we easily provided On-the-Go Remote Kits to Rubbermaid’s California- and Texas-based spokespeople, and fed the live footage to our Chicago-based control room. These professional grade Remote Kits allowed our two hosts to communicate seamlessly with each other, as well as viewers, right from their homes, and when paired with our nimble team of producers and directors, achieved the level of sophistication that Rubbermaid was looking for.
OUR PROOF
With more than 2,200 live views (and counting), Rubbermaid successfully announced their new product launch and communicated with target fans in real-time, via a crisp, clean and high quality 30-minute live social event — and for legs beyond the original livestream, this production lives on it’s IGTV profile for on demand viewing.
Rubbermaid continues to ride this success and lead the way amongst competitors by planning for multiple virtual events, so they can continue to connect with and provide engaging content to fans.
